I teach traditional Hatha yoga, focusing on slow, mindful movement rather than flowing quickly from one pose to the next. This gives you time to connect with your breath, explore each posture, and become more aware of your body and mind.
Hatha yoga helps build strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness, while also supporting relaxation, reducing stress, and improving focus.
Classes combine yoga postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, and meditation. Some poses are held to develop strength and stability, while others are gentle and restorative.
Classes are adapted to the needs of the group, so you can practise at a pace that feels right for you. No previous yoga experience or flexibility is needed.
Above all, Hatha yoga is a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and bring greater ease and awareness into everyday life.

Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. You may also wish to bring a bottle of water, along with a blanket or an extra layer to keep warm during relaxation at the end of class. If you don't have a mat, just let me know before the class and I'll do my best to provide one.

If you're attending your first class, you are required to complete a new student health questionnaire before taking part. You can download and email the completed form in advance to stacey@papillonsoulyoga.co.uk, or alternatively arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete it before class. Arriving early also gives us time to discuss any injuries, health concerns, or individual requirements so I can support your practice safely. You can also download the form from the booking page when booking your class.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. There's no need for anything special, just choose something you feel relaxed in. Yoga is traditionally practised barefoot, but you're welcome to wear socks during relaxation if you prefer.
