About me
Where it began
My journey with yoga began when I was 16, during a class where I experienced the subtle magic of lying in a supine twist. I still remember the feeling of spaciousness that unfurled in my body and the awakening of prana, the energetic life force, flowing through me. That moment stayed with me.
Years later, at 25, I established a regular practice under the guidance of Jackie Morton. During a time marked by loss, anxiety, and depression, I then found Pippa Francis's (Hartford Yoga’s) class, and something shifted. Yoga became more than movement. It became a lifeline. It brought me clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of self. I found strength in my body and peace in my mind. The tension began to melt, and the heaviness lifted. I learned to let go of anger and resentment, making space for light.
Where it led
After over a decade of personal practice, a deep desire to learn more naturally led me to teach. I studied for three transformative years under the wonderful Sarah Beck, completing the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) 500-hour Level 4 Teacher Training Diploma. Sarah's guidance provided an exceptional standard of teaching, with beautifully in-depth explorations of meditation, pranayama, and yoga philosophy that deeply enriched my understanding.
Papillon Soul Yoga is a reflection of this journey. It is a space born from experience, compassion, and the belief that healing and transformation are possible when we come home to ourselves. Whether you're new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, you're warmly welcome just as you are.
